It isn’t zooming off in a straight line; it’s orbiting the center of the galaxy, which in turn is moving, and billions of stars are doing the same thing, and and and—! Space is cool. mmmmmmmmmmmmm c: Actually, our solar system is slowly being pulled toward our galactic center to chill with all the super black holes. We’re all circling the toilet on a galactic scale.
